Bio
A complete history of the entity known as Wuffie is far beyond the scope offered here. Suffice to say that the first mentions of her name appear in certain forbidden Sumerian texts, where she is known as the "Squamous One" and "The Shuffler In Madness". It is rumoured that Akkadian temples to her were unearthed by the Roystock expedition in its final days, immediately prior to the violence and cannibalism that subsequently engulfed that ill-fated group.

In the waning days of Rome her icons and crude necklaces were circulated among the superstitious as a kind of protective charm; the Emperor was eventually forced to outlaw them.

Eracletus documents the execution by burning of two adherents of this strange sect; he suggests that as the flames consumed their bodies a kind of deep chuckling was heard, and that afterwards many of the soldiers present fell sick with a kind of scrofula that caused their skin to blister.

Her name was revived in modern times during the occultism of the 1920s; in papers published by groups of this period she was referred to as "Lady Carbuncle" or "The Red Woman". MacGregor Mathers proposed a ritual by which her aspect might be summoned, but none dared perform it. The "Great Beast" Aleister Crowley was quoted as having said, "Let that old one lie; her rough odour brings no joy to this age."

Today there are no known devotees of her mysteries; but in minor stories and in alleyways and in the encrypted communications of certain portals a trade has sprung up in her paraphenalia. Necklaces and earrings bearing her mark have become a kind of second currency among the esoteric illuminati.

None will speak on this bizarre meme, other than certain occluded references to "the coming", but it is clear that the gleaning of Wuffie's favour has once again become a kind of desperate fasion.
